A great lunch spot hidden in the nooks and crannies of FiDi, this place is literally a hole in the wall. ****WALK INS ONLY at the financial district location**** Came here at 12PM on the dot and there was already a 20 minute wait. The service was great and the food was VERY good. I got the power bowl with fried chicken and was pleasantly surprised as to how filling it was and how well all the ingredients combined together.

My friend and I stopped by after running some errands but didn't have a reservation. We waited for about 30 minutes outside which was brutal considering it was so cold out. The inside of the restaurant is tiny so no room to wait inside. By the time we were seated we were starving. We ordered a chai latte and Nutella mocha to warm us up, both of which were so good. We both had the pomodoro baked eggs with a side of avocado and the strawberry cheesecake waffles to split. The baked eggs were absolutely delicious, 10/10. The dish was very hearty and comforting, the feta added the perfect tang, and the garlic bread served on the side was divine. We could've done without the waffles as we were so full and the waffles were way too sweet. The waffle itself was a sugar waffle and then came with additional sweet toppings. It's good for a couple bites and definitely to share but would be too much for an entree. I would come back just for those baked eggs but the only downside is I left the restaurant smelling of food. The smell was pretty overwhelming and my guess is because the restaurant is so small. Overall we enjoyed our meal.

Came here for breakfast on a whim. We were just strolling around and came upon this place. One can almost pass this place because the entrance was so small. The hostess stand was outside, that's how small this place was. The hostess was attentive and came quickly to seat us. She was also our server. Here's what we ordered: - Pulled pork benedict : slow braised pork, poached eggs, hollandaise, chili threads, fried parsley on sourdough - Brekkie roll: toasted brioche bun, scrambled egg, smoked bacon, (no cheddar cheese on mine) hash brown, special sauce, side salad I'll tell you this: breakfast held us down for HOURS. We didn't have to eat again until dinner! The service was quick, wait time was reasonable, music was great (a lot of Elton John and Billy Joel), and paying was a through a QR code on the table. (It had auto-gratuity) Highly recommend!

Hole In The Wall is the perfect name for this spot -- it truly is a hidden gem I wasn't expecting to be this good! I had breakfast here with a friend and we both loved it. I ordered the mushroom toast with avocado, and it might just be one of the best toasts I've had in ages. At $20 with the avocado add-on, it's not cheap, but hey, it's NYC, and it was so yummy. My friend ordered the kimchi scramble and she couldn't stop raving about it. The iced coffee was really good -- one of the best I've had recently -- but the orange juice, which they said was fresh, didn't quite hit the mark for me (though they did mention they don't squeeze the oranges onsite, so it was sort of on me). Our server was wonderful, really kind and attentive. They have outdoor tables which are great for warmer days.

Ate here 1/2 way through our trip. Great patio spot on a Saturday. My wife had avocado toast and I had the burrito. Both were good, but nothing memorable. We ate the Pearl Street Dinner (a really rough looking diner) today and it was $35 for two of us which beats our bill at the "Hole in the Wall" which was $80 for 1/2 the food. You are paying for atmosphere. The hash browns were really good, but obviously came from a box.

My group and I come here walk in often now after yoga and they're also dog friendly and the sun just feels so good here in the summer since they have umbrellas and ample shade. The host is absolutely a fun time and really reminds me of your typical Aussie cafe and i really appreciate the vibes brought here! I have been to so many aussie brunch spots and they do it so well and super friendly here! The walk in wait time always varies between 5-20 minutes... he did say 20 minutes for us but he moves on quickly if you don't hear your name he will move on to the next one so our 20 minutes became 10 minutes. When we got seated one look at the menu and I see Aussie Iced Coffees! This is a godsend for the aussie transplants in NYC since most places don't serve this- and this is pretty much a scoop of ice cream over a iced coffee. They're super tasty and have chocolate powder on top as well. My friend's fave though is their espresso peanut butter smoothie, that one was a super huge hit and now a regular favorite. Everytime I come here I always order the same thing surprisingly I order the Spring Chicken Salad, and this was SO good i usually don't like chicken on salad but this one is crispy and juicy and everything good i need. I don't know if i'll ever move on to another dish because this one is just so good to me. Low carb and everything. My friends have ordered the breakfast burrito, kimchi scramble, & the pomodoro baked eggs. All were tasty and we always had a good time here drinking away in coffee and eating yummy food after our yoga classes, it definitely became a staple to our every week. I can proudly say I am now a regular.

What a cute find! In New York for work and stopped in for lunch. The menu is small, but diverse. Everything sounded absolutely amazing. Being the Caesar salad obsessed girl that I am, I went with that. It came with Parmesan crisps, crispy onions and one of the best Caesar dressings I've had in a while. Only bummer was they wouldn't allow me to add tomatoes or feta to the salad when they have those ingredients in house. Not the end of the world, just disappointing. I added some sliced avocado instead. Super delicious and everything tasted fresh. My coworkers got the avocado toast and both said it was hands down the best avocado toast they've ever had. Great find, glad it was close and convenient to the hotel was staying at!

Hole in the Wall is a fun spot with great brunch options. The staff is very friendly and perfectly emulate the 'down under' vibe this restaurant is going for. I ordered the lox toast, which came with a poached egg, pickled onions, and wasabi cream cheese on sourdough, and opted to add avocado. I'm sure the kitchen staff laughed at the plate that came back after we finished, as I ate around the crust (cutting through it with a steak knife was harder than sawing down an oak tree). Other than that, it was delicious. I also ordered their nutty espresso smoothie sans espresso, which was essentially a peanut butter banana smoothie, which hit the spot on a hot day. Although their indoor space is smaller, they boast a fantastic outdoor patio, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend to anyone on the hunt for a fun spot for a healthy brunch packed with flavor!
